It should be noted that the training protocol involved moderate intensity, long duration aerobic exercise, raising the possibility that results reflected mitochondrial and/or sarcoplasmic protein fractions, as opposed to synthesis of contractile elements ( Kumar et al., 2009). (2001) reported that protein synthesis of the legs and whole body, as determined by dilution and enrichment of phenylalanine, was increased threefold when an oral supplement containing 10 g protein, 8 g carbohydrate and 3 g fat was consumed immediately following exercise compared to just a 12% increase when the supplement was ingested 3-hours post-workout. In a study of healthy young and middle-aged subjects, Levenhagen et al. Research examining the existence of a narrow post-workout window is equivocal. Rather, the authors proposed that the interval for consumption may be as wide as 5–6 h after exercise depending on the timing of the pre-workout meal the closer a meal is consumed prior to exercise, the larger the post-workout anabolic window of opportunity. It has been postulated that the anabolic response to a resistance training bout is blunted if protein is ingested after this narrow window, thereby impairing muscular gains ( Ivy & Ferguson-Stegall, 2013).Ī review of literature determined that while compelling evidence exists showing muscle is sensitized to protein ingestion following a workout, the anabolic window does not appear to be as narrow as what was once thought ( Aragon & Schoenfeld, 2013). To take advantage of this window of opportunity, common thought is that protein must be consumed within approximately 45 min to 1 h of completion of exercise to maximize post-workout muscle protein synthesis (MPS) ( Ivy & Ferguson-Stegall, 2013). The purported beneficial effects (i.e., increased muscle protein synthetic response) of protein timing are based on the hypothesis that a limited “anabolic window of opportunity” exists for post-workout anabolism ( Lemon, Berardi & Noreen, 2002). Perhaps the most heralded aspect of nutrient timing involves consuming protein immediately after exercise. Several researchers have put forth the notion that the timing of nutrient consumption is even more important to these adaptations than the quantity of food and macronutrient ratio of the diet ( Candow & Chilibeck, 2008). Nutrient timing, operationally defined as the consumption of nutrients in and/or around an exercise bout, has been advocated as a strategy to optimize a myriad of performance- and muscular-related adaptations. These findings refute the contention of a narrow post-exercise anabolic window to maximize the muscular response and instead lends support to the theory that the interval for protein intake may be as wide as several hours or perhaps more after a training bout depending on when the pre-workout meal was consumed. Results showed that pre- and post-workout protein consumption had similar effects on all measures studied ( p > 0.05). A total-body routine was employed with three sets of 8–12 repetitions for each exercise. The RT protocol consisted of three weekly sessions performed on non-consecutive days for 10 weeks. After baseline testing, participants were randomly assigned to 1 of 2 experimental groups: a group that consumed a supplement containing 25 g protein and 1 g carbohydrate immediately prior to exercise (PRE-SUPP) ( n = 9) or a group that consumed the same supplement immediately post-exercise (POST-SUPP) ( n = 12). Subjects were 21 resistance-trained men (>1 year RT experience) recruited from a university population. The purpose of this study was to test the anabolic window theory by investigating muscle strength, hypertrophy, and body composition changes in response to an equal dose of protein consumed either immediately pre- versus post-resistance training (RT) in trained men.

Intel® oneAPI Math Kernel Library (oneMKL) Benchmarks package includes Intel® Distribution for LINPACK. Modern hardware requires modern stress testing methodology with support for the latest instructions sets. LinX, IntelBurnTest, OCCT use outdated Linpack binaries from 2012. Linpack Xtreme was created because Prime95 is no longer effective like it used to be. Linpack uses partial pivoting to assure the accuracy of the results. The generalization is in the number of equations (N) it can solve, which is not limited to 1000. Linpack solves a dense (real*8) system of linear equations (Ax=b), measures the amount of time it takes to factor and solve the system, converts that time into a performance rate, and tests the results for accuracy. Linpack tends to crash unstable PCs in a shorter period of time compared to other stress testing applications. Best used to test stability of overclocked PCs. LINPACK BENCHMARK SOFTWARELinpack is a benchmark and the most aggressive stress testing software available today. Linpack Xtreme is a console front-end with the latest build of Linpack (Intel Math Kernel Library Benchmarks 2018.3.011). The on-line varieties are run via.HTM files stored on a host system. The off-line versions are run from a Windows Command Prompt or Linux Terminal. The benchmarks are in JavaDraw.class files that can be translated and run on both Windows and Linux based systems. Of course, she just now steppin' into the game. "I just feel like a couple people made her think that I was doing something wrong. She put all the fire on it." However, after his version circulated, there were alleged shady remarks from the British singer and it puzzled Jacquees, especially after the cease and desist was reportedly served. "I remember when I put it out, she commented on it. Later, Jacquees claims that he DM'd Ella Mai and told her that he loved "Trip" and told her that he planned on remixing the song. I remember I went on tour with Chris Brown, I was onstage or whatever and my security was like, 'Ella Mai backstage, she wanna meet you.'. When I met Ella Mai she was already a fan. "I don't think nobody know that," said the singer. DJ Mustard, who she is signed to, has issued a statement saying that she did not directly ask the R&B singer to remove the song, but the label did. Since Jacquees was forced to remove his Trip remix from online streaming service, Ella Mai has been getting some serious hate on social media. poor thing.During a recent appearance on Big Facts Podcast, Jacquees revisited the controversy and said before there was any animosity over the track, he and Ella Mai were friends. DJ Mustard has come to the defense of his artist Ella Mai. I’d be so embarrassed if someone brung me on stage and the only thing i could sing was someone elses song because nobody knew my actual music. Let’s hope these two singers can work out their differences and make music together because they’re two talented artists. The piano-laden song finds Mai deeply entranced. It appears that Jac was responding to the part where Ella Mai said nobody knows any of his songs, so he had to perform hers to get the crowd going. Of course, Sal knew a great deal more than I did-he’d been out in the world so much longer. But we were only twenty-five then and there were a lot of things we didn’t know. Nor could any of us have guessed that Sal’s death scene in Cheyenne Autumn was to be the last piece of film of consequence in which he would appear, though he was to live another twelve years. Certainly Sal was far too unpretentious to make any serious connection between Kennedy and himself, yet both, in vastly different ways, became symbols: Kennedy of the Sixties, Mineo of the Fifties. None of us had enough perspective at the time to realize how much Kennedy’s death would come to represent the end of a generation’s brief, perhaps even illusory, moment of political inspiration. The bizarre irony of that story wasn’t really clear that cool evening in New York when Sal told it in the spring of 1964. Why So Many of Andy Warhol’s Factory Stars Died This was an old number of his, but it never failed to get a laugh from me. Is this weird?” Having riveted everyone’s attention, Sal suddenly dropped his head to the left, closing his eyes as he did so, and snored softly in a mock sleep. Somebody figured out that at the same time Ricardo was shooting me Oswald was shooting Kennedy. A couple of hours later we hear the President’s been murdered and Ford calls a wrap for the rest of the day. Ford says ‘That’s swell,’ and they do something else. We’re all up there in Monument Valley-and the Old Man likes the weather.” (He is talking about John Ford on a picture called Cheyenne Autumn.) “So he says, ‘Let’s kill Saul.’ He always called me Saul-I don’t know why-and they get the camera set up and old Ricardo Montalban shoots me. “The same day as Kennedy-November twenty-second. “You know what day they killed me?” Sal said with his usual macabre amusement. Drive utility called drivedx free#For a closer look, I recommend downloading CrystalDiskInfo for Windows (free), or DriveDx for macOS ($20 with a free trial), both of which will offer up more detailed S.M.A.R.T. You only know when your drive is near death, but you can start to experience problems even if the basic S.M.A.R.T. Status in the bottom left, which will either read Verified or Failing. On a Mac, open Disk Utility from /Applications/Utilities/, click on the drive, and look at S.M.A.R.T. It will return Pred Fail if your drive's death is imminent or OK if it thinks the drive is doing fine. Just type "cmd" into the search bar and open the application. status of your drives from the Command Prompt. In Windows, you can manually check the S.M.A.R.T. That way, your computer will automatically notify you before data loss occurs and the drive can be replaced while it still remains functional. Most modern drives have a feature called S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology), which monitors different drive attributes in an attempt to detect a failing disk. That means even if your drive isn't making strange noises, you should keep an eye on its health once in a while, so you can prepare for death before it happens. Unless your drive experiences excessive heat or physical trauma, it'll probably fail gradually. Newer solid-state drives (SSDs) don't have moving parts, but their storage cells degrade a little bit every time you write to them, meaning they too will eventually fail (though SSD reliability is much better than it used to be). On older spinning drives, moving parts like the motor can degrade over time, or the drives' magnetic sectors can go bad. This is normal, especially if your drive is more than a few years old. Strange noises, corrupted files, crashing during boot, and glacial transfer speeds all point to the inevitable end. It might be time to say farewell, but here's what you should do before it goes to the big data center in the sky.Įvery hard drive dies eventually, and when it's near death, you'll see the signs. It's starting to make clicking or screeching noises, it can't seem to find your files, and it's moving really slowly. Your hard drive hasn't been acting the same lately.
